Travel Journal Four: The Streets At Dawn

Today, a break from recounting the events of the day. Instead, I take you with me on an hour and a half long walk at dawn.

And instead of my words, this time I offer you Italo Calvino's (from Invisible Cities):

"Cities, like dreams, are made of desires and fears, even if the thread of their discourse is secret, their rules are absurd, their perspectives deceitful, and everything conceals something else" and so while you may not understand it all, "you take delight not in a city's seven or seventy wonders, but in the answer it gives to a question of yours.”
